They have been the three go-to guys for almost the entire regular season. And on Monday they received some well-deserved recognition.

Griz Nation congrats going out today to three University of Montana Grizzly basketball standouts (all juniors - can't wait till next year, right?). The Big Sky Conference announced its annual all-conference teams and individual award winners. Montana's Ahmaad Rorie was named to the first team. Michael Oguine was named second team AND was also named Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year. And Jamar Akoh was named to the third team.

In earning first-team honors, Rorie averaged just under 17 points per game to go along with 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. All of those numbers ranked in the top 10 in their respective categories in the Big Sky.

Of course, the best award of all is that Big Sky Conference championship trophy, which the Griz took home by going 16-2 in conference play this season. The guys are on the Road to Reno for the conference tournament, and will play their first game Thursday afternoon. We will be on the air at 12:30 p.m. with the scouting report and tip it off at 1:05. The voice of the Griz Riley Corcoran will bring you all the action on KGVO AM 1290 and FM 98.3 and online.

Go Griz and congratulations to our trio of junior award-winners!
