Well, if you consider ol' GW to be your father...father of our country, that is. For the benefit of those who don't know, George was quite a moonshiner, bootlegger, distiller or whatever they called them back then. And today Washington's estate, Mount Vernon, introduced a peach brandy recreated using the same methods that would have been used at the estate in the 18th century. Now, in case you're thinking you're going to run to Paradise Falls after work and order a snifter or two, only 400 bottles have been produced. Considering that, I guess 150 bucks a bottle isn't way out of line. Back in the day, President Washington operated the largest distillery in America, best known for his rye whiskey, producing about 11,000 gallons a year. Here's to ya, George! DB
