A third person has died as a result of a double-fatal crash that occurred on Highway 93 South between Lolo and Florence in late February.

The Missoula County Coroner's Office reported on Tuesday, March 11, that Pam Okon, 47, died at St. Patrick Hospital as a result of the injuries she received when her SUV was struck head-on by a pickup truck driven by Hannah Capen, 25, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Also killed in the crash was Okon's daughter Meaghan, 9. The accident occurred when Capen's pickup truck crossed the center line and struck the GMC Acadia SUV at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22.

Montana Highway Patrol trooper Mike Burman said it appeared that the driver of the pickup was traveling too fast for the snowy and icy road conditions.
