Thin Mint Cookie

Some Minnesota Girl Scouts are crumbling their cookie sale. The girls are so upset about plans to sell some scout camps, they're refusing to sell cookies. Kim Zaiman leads a troop of 12 girls in the St. Paul suburb of Maplewood. She says her 10-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, will sit out the sale along with some other troop members. The Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys council is getting rid of four Girl Scout camps. Council officials say they have to cut the budget but note other camps will remain open. The Thin Mint protest was first reported by the Star Tribune of Minneapolis. Story from the Associated Press
