I went down to the Clark Fork River again today (5/11) to check on water levels. It appears that the river has come up some but without a gauging station I can’t accurately say how much. The thing I did notice was that the snag in the middle of the river with St. Patrick Hospital in the background is gone. The river rose enough to float it off the gravel bar where it had stopped. The view of the pilings of the California St Footbridge indicates the water has come up about 6”-8”. The area just below Brennan’s Wave shows a greater rate of flow over it. A couple of kayakers were testing their skills during the noon hour.
