Only about 100 people live in the town of Uptown Pony, Montana, but they do have one claim to fame: The Pony Bar has officially been named by Thrillist as the best small-town bar in the entire state.

They describe it as "the quintessential Montana bar experience," and as someone who just moved here recently, this definitely put the place on my radar. It seems like the kind of place where everybody knows everybody else, my favorite kind of bar (granted, I've been watching a lot of Cheers on Netflix lately, so maybe I'm just in that mood).

The Pony Bar is located about three hours away from Missoula. Have you been? Is it worthy of being called the best small-town bar in all of Montana?
