The Aber Day Reunion Concert at Philipsburg August 20 was a gathering of about 3,000 happy people, enjoying the warm weather and great music.

The concert featured the Big Sky Mudflaps and the Mission Mountain Wood Band, both of whom played in the Aber Day Keggers in Missoula in the 70s.

Added to that lineup was the increasingly popular Montana band, the Li'l Smokies, who had the crowd bouncing to the fast-moving melodies.

The day was sponsored by the University of Montana Alumni Association, Missoula Liquid Assets Corp. and the Philipsburg Rotary Club. There were beverages and food for adults and kids in the grassy amphitheater in Philipsburg.

Organizers are hoping to make the event a two-day affair next year.
