Is writing thank you notes a lost art? Should your kids be more dialed into their sincerity and personal touch? If you said "yes" then you might want to check out a contest the National Archives Museum in Washington, D.C. is conducting through December 30. They're helping kids write thank you notes for all their holiday gifts. The museum will provide ideas and a fill-in-the-blanks handout. Every child who enters gets a sample thank you card for ideas and for practice. Sounds like a pretty exercise in manners. More at nationalarchives.org. Oh, and thank you for reading this note.
