Taking the Boss’s Fishing in Rock Creek

What happens when you take seven Jersey folks fishing? A whole lot of fun and great stories! 

Note to self: When telling out-of-towners to dress for the outdoors, be more specific. Outdoors to some people is a bit different then the Montana outdoors.

They were troopers though, even in flip flops the 4 adults and 3 children made their way through thistles, tall grass and bugs to get to the rocky bank to start fly fishing for their first time!

We started off by casting practice behind the Rock Creek Mercantile. Isabelle the daughter of Bill, was actually the best caster of the bunch!

We trekked to Valley of the Moon and then marched through the field to the fishing spot. For first timers, they did really well with the fly rods. No lips or animals were hooked and the two young boys got the only catches of the day! Great thing about kids is, they don't over think it and are almost one with the rod. Way to go to them!! Out fished the adults.
