Does this story strike anyone else as…unusual? It’s based upon a national survey on the heels of the Target, Michaels, and Neiman-Marcus, data breach.

American shoppers say they are very concerned about the safety of their personal information following a massive security breach at Target. But many aren't taking steps to ensure their data is more secure. Just 41 percent have checked their credit reports. Even fewer have changed their online passwords at retailers' websites or signed up for a credit monitoring service.

Now why wouldn’t you get those things done if you were that concerned.  It’s like they say, ”if common sense were so common there would be more of it.”
