Just how cold was it Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in Western Montana? It hasn't been this cold since 1896.

Recent maps released by the U.S. Drought Monitor show much of southern Montana in either severe or extreme drought.

Parcell says the two men built a fire and stayed put with their snowmobiles overnight, then tried to hike out in the morning.
