The ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)’ singer’s new album, ‘Tailgates and Tanlines,’ is not only the top-selling country album, it’s number two on Billboard’s overall top 200 albums chart.

‘Tailgates’ is Bryan’s first chart-topping album, outpacing 2009′s ‘Doin’ My Thing,’ which peaked at number two on the country charts and number six on the top 200. With first-week sales of more than 145,000 units, it’s the second highest-selling debut for a country artist this year, behind only Brad Paisley‘s ‘This Is Country Music.’
