Brent Axe of Syracuse dot com has written a very interesting online article about the chances the 13th seed Montana Grizzlies have to beat the 4th seed Syracuse Orange.
On Monday, Montana Grizzly head basketball coach Wayne Tinkle was honored by the Big Sky Conference with his second straight "Coach of the Year" award. The Grizzlies enjoyed a rousing sendoff Tuesday morning on the way to San Jose for a Thursday game against Syracuse.
Update:Sunday, March 17 4:30 p.m.
At a packed house in the Press Box Restaurant, players, coaches and maroon-clad fans eagerly awaited Greg Gumbel on the CBS-TV NCAA Selection Sunday show just who the Grizzlies would play in the first round of the NCAA basketball tournament. The word came as Gumbel announced the second round in the East Regional to be held in San Jose, California. Number four seed Syracuse came up on the screen, and moments later the crowd erupted in cheers as the Grizzlies were introduced as the 13th seed.
