As Moms all over the Missoula area got up to enjoy their breakfast in bed on Mother's Day, they were treated to a good, old-fashioned snowstorm, courtesy of our northern neighbors.
Mother’s day is a great day to be a mom. It’s the one day of the year when moms get a little appreciation for all the things they do. Of course, just one day probably isn’t enough to really show moms just how you feel about them and how awesome they are.
No matter how pinched the household budget, we’re still going to do our best to keep Mom out of the kitchen for Mother’s Day. Restaurants still expect it will be the busiest day of the year, according to the National Restaurant Association --about 38 percent of all Americans will dine out that day.
There is going to be quite a bit to do on Mothers Day Eve in Missoula!
We are teaming up with Mamalode to host an event called, appropriately, the Mothers Day Eve Party at the Stonecreek Lodge on Airway Boulevard this Saturday from 7p-10pm.
1. Breakfast in bed. Add a flower in a vase for bonus points.
2. Handprint crafts. Whether on paper, in plaster, on a flower pot or apron, she's bound to love it. Search Pinterest for some awesome ideas.
3. Do chores. Moms are always overworked, so plan on spending Saturday doing lots of folding, cooking, dishes and vacuuming without being asked.

Oh, moms. A generation of "digital immigrants," our moms have a real love/hate relationship with technology. While most moms we know love their iPads/Kindles/iPhones/weird off-brand tablets, they also seem to have a very hard time figuring them out, and have a tendency to get overwhelmed by tech problems.
