Non-Resident Travel Contributes to Over $258 Million Dollars to Missoula Economy [AUDIO]

The Institute for Tourism and Economic Research at the University of Montana recently completed a study of the eight counties in what is called Glacier Country. Non-resident travel contributed over $250 million dollars to the economy of Missoula County alone.

Fans of Glacier National Park’s red tour buses are upset that the park’s new concessions contract calls for replacing half of the buses with alternative fuel vehicles by 2029. Former tour bus driver Bruce Austin says it would be an “absolute tragedy” to remove any of the red buses from the fleet.
