Fly Fishing in Montana

I am pretty excited that I just got lent a fly tying set up so I can start tying my own flies for fly fishing. Maybe start selling some! So I got a rotating vise and a whip finish tool, a spool tool, thread and other goodies that I have no idea what they are...

There are so many areas in this state I have yet to fish that I want to. Some of them are just a short distance away. Like the Jocko River. Up past Arlee heading towards Thompson Falls is where we started, so not a far drive from Missoula...

Winter fishing at it's finest! Montana offers fly fishing all year long. Sometimes there is ice to deal with. You can fly fish in most elements, wind is the only one that can be a bugger.
