A double-dose of good news for Montana fans on Monday, as the Big Sky Conference named junior forward/guard Kareem Jamar as the Offensive Player of the Year, and senior guard Will Cherry, for the second year in a row, was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
Saturday, March 9, 2013...a date that will live in the minds of Missoula sports fans for a long, long time, as three teams brought home titles; The Hellgate boys, The Sentinel girls, and the University of Montana Grizzlies.
The University of Montana’s Zack Wagenmann has been named The Big Sky Conference’s Co-Defensive player of the week. Wagenmann shared the award with Montana State linebacker Na’a Moeakiola, according to UM Sports information.
The new Big Sky Conference logo was unveiled this week, and my response to this much-anticipated redesign was overwhelmingly… meh.
With all of the hype leading up to the big reveal, I guess I was expecting the “wow” factor to pack a little more punch.
