The Family Restroom at Lolo Pass Visitor Center was closed last week due to what officials are calling vandalism. According to a news release from the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, "several items within the Lolo Pass Visitor Center restrooms had been burned, including toilet seats and soap dispensers." The damage was reported February 21. The men's and women's restrooms are still open and operational. The Family restroom will be repaired and re-opened soon.

The rest area at Lolo Pass along US 12 on the border between Montana and Idaho is operated by the U.S. Forest Service and the Idaho and Montana Transportations Departments. The public is being asked to provide any information about the incident by calling the Nez Perce National Forest at (208) 942-0355.

The latest information on the restrooms will be posted on the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forest Facebook page. All other services are operating as normal at the Visitors Center.
