There are a lot of things going on this weekend related to the Super Bowl. Here are a few you may or may not have heard about:

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will team up for part of the pre-game package, singing "America the Beautiful.

Kelly Clarkson will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl before the New York Giants and England Patriots clash on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

If your Super Bowl-watching plans included checking out the big game on one of those "don't tell anybody about this" web sites that feature streams of live sporting events — better make other plans. The Feds have shut down more than a dozen of those sites. They’ve seized 16 sites in all — and brought criminal charges against a Michigan man who controlled nine of those sites. For a totally legal online experience, you can go to the NBC Sports site, which will stream the big game live, however the streams lag behind the live game action.

Folks in Ashland, Kentucky, are getting ready for their Souper Bowl -- as in soup. It's a party organized by churches and outreach groups for the city's homeless and disadvantaged. Free food will be offered, then the Super Bowl will be shown on a big screen TV.
