Everybody knows that there are people who deliberately write checks that they know are going to bounce, right.

AP found us a guy that would have had his gold bounce if he'd gotten the chance to palm it off on someone else. It apparently didn't occur to him that a flooring business in Grand Rapids, Michigan, would not leave millions of dollars worth of real gold bars in the store window.

Old to Gold Hardwood Floors uses foam rubber gold bars as a promotional tool. They have the company logo on them and they get handed out as a squeezable stress-relief item, reinforcing the store's slogan, "Stress Free Flooring." A burglar was seen on surveillance video breaking into the store in the middle of the night, apparently thinking he'd stumbled into an unguarded Fort Knox.

The last we heard, the burglar was still at large and we assume extremely relaxed and totally stress-free.
