They say you can't judge a book by its cover. But you can get your book judged by its goofy title. And a British magazine has released the annual winners of oddest book titles.

The magazine "The Bookseller" had a tight race this year, making the winner of their Diagram Prize "Too Naked for the Nazis." It just barely beat out "Reading From Behind: A Cultural History of the Anus." No, folks, we're not making those up. And the rules do state that the books must be serious and that the titles can't just be a gimmick.Which makes you wonder about other top finishers this year, like "Transvestite Vampire Biker Nuns From Outer Space." Wow! Going for some Google keyword searches there, huh?

And since we Montanans are the outdoorsy types and love our animals, maybe a previous winner like "Bombproof Your Horse" might be a good one to curl up by the fire with tonight. "Highlights in the History of Concrete" perhaps? No? Okay, how about "Living With Crazy Buttocks" for bathroom reading?      DB
