Standing out in the cold is only good when you are doing it for a good cause.

First off thank you so much to the Missoula Federal Credit Union employees for standing outside for 3 hours plus and holding signs to get people to donate. We had coffee and hot coco, plus treats and goodies from the MFCU staff.

Every month the Missoula Food Bank helps over 5000 families in need and especially around the holidays. They accept cash, check and of course ALL non-perishable items.

On Saturday ( tomorrow) one week before the Griz-Cat game, you can join the food drive by bringing your bags of donations to the Kids EmPower Pack Build at Karl Tyler Chevrolet & Cadillac Showroom from 10 a.m. to noon. This event puts your food donation directly into a pack for a disadvantaged school kid.

The collection deadline is the first quarter of the Cat-Griz game on November 22. That’s where the last-minute collection will take place, with food bins spread across campus in the vicinity of Wash-Griz Stadium and the parking lot. The winner of the food drive will be announced during halftime.

The contest is based on the weight of food donations, so heavier items such as beans, rice, and canned goods go further to helping the Griz Can the Cats!
