St. Ignatius, Montana: Home to one of the most beautiful missions ever and home to one of the best picnics ever. Well, to hear my pal Dewey talk about it, at least. But it does sound pretty dang good! It's the 18th annual volunteer fire department fireman's picnic this Saturday, June 23rd and everyone's invited. It's at the Old Town  Field across from the Cenex. Dinner, door prizes, auction, games for kids....they'll be serving up barbecue beef, buffalo, pig and turkey with lots of the trimmings. UM Grizzly football players and cheer squad members will be on hand along with Monte the Mascot. Photo ops with Monte, Smokey Bear and other loveable characters.

PICNIC: 2:00-4:00 PM    AUCTION: 4:00-5:00 PM    RAFFLES: 5:00PM

PRICE: $7.50 per person or a family ticket for $25

MORE INFO: 745-4190

So, it sounds like  a terrific time in St. Ignatius Saturday and proceeds benefitting a great organization. Dewey, thanks for letting us know about it and I hope it's a huge success.  DB
