Spider! OMG I Think It’s a Brown Recluse! It’s Not and Here’s Why

I have seen so many facebook posts lately from people (yeah, girls) who have seen a spider and are pretty sure it’s a brown recluse, the most feared spider because of it’s nasty bite and the horrific aftermath we’ve all seen on TV or online. Stop the madness! LOL The map below (courtesy of Wikipedia.com) shows where the brown recluse spider lives in the U.S. and your chances of actually seeing one in the yellow zone on the map are slim because it’s RECLUSIVE! They hide in dark places and don’t want any interaction with people. Bites happen but they are rare. Now frolic…frolic in your yard and garage and be free! But watch out for black widows…they’re everywhere! Feel better now?
