Well, they hope that's the case. If it did indeed melt cars in the first place. But it's safe to say there was some harsh glare. Last fall we told you about the "Walkie-Talkie" Skyscraper in London (so named for its curved shape) creating so much glare that it was melting parts of cars and nearby shops. Well, the tower is getting itself a brand new sunshade on its south-facing facade to stop it from reflecting sun rays and beaming them to the street. The shade is made horizontal aluminum fins that should absorb and diffuse sunlight. Sadly, the go the neighborhood weenie roasts. DB
