Hey, everyone knows Montana has the biggest flakes, right? Maybe a donation is in order. Of course our mild February and diminishing valley snows may force us to gather from up above.

But can we just sit by and do nothing while the Fregoe family sees their creation piddle to a puddle?

Alright, enough of the drama, already! It's a situation that may be out of our good Samaritan hands. But we will keep the Massapequa Park, New York, family in our thoughts as they try to save their snowman, which has become quite a popular neighborhood attraction.

Newsday and Associated Press spread the word that the Fregoe family is seeking donations of snow to keep their 14-foot snowman standing for at least another couple of months. But mild temperatures and rain have taken their toll. The family did this last year, too. And through Facebook donations of snow, the snowman survived until April 20th.

Hopefully the family has just as much success this year and avoids any emotional meltdowns.         DB
