Okay, I will readily admit I have never hooked a fish big enough to drag my boat. Or my kayak for that matter, if I'd ever fished from a kayak. But that's what happened to this Texas fisherman. He says he got taken for a ride by a shark. He was casting his line from a kayak in the Gulf of Mexico, which just conjures up this beautiful image in my mind. Well, he hooks a blacktip shark, which he claims dragged him about seven miles before it cut loose. The Galveston Island Beach Patrol says the story is definitely plausible. The guy eventually was able to paddle back to shore where he was seen walking the beach. No doubt trying to get someone to listen to the story about the one that got away. Fisherman!  DB
