43 year-old Amber Nicole Ohman Snider of Condon was killed in a one-vehicle crash near Seeley Lake late Wednesday afternoon.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Drew Novak said he accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. when Snider, the driver, apparently lost control of her Chevy Astro van while trying to negotiate several curves on Highway 83.

Novak said the vehicle went off the road, went into a ditch, went airborne when it emerged from the ditch, crossed back over the road and struck a tree.

Novak said Snider was pronounced dead at the scene, and a male passenger was transported to St. Patrick Hospital. He was treated and released.

Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, Novak said. .Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash, but the incident is still under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
