Congratulation to our local students Shiloh Kerr of Missoula Loyola and to Erik Stoll of Montana who proudly represent the great programs and schools they participate in.

The Montana Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame has announced the 2011 winners of its scholar-athlete awards.

One winner is chosen from each of Montana's five high school classifications, and one from each college football team in the state.

The college winners are: Erik Stoll of Montana, Jordan Craney of Montana State, Pat Regan of Carroll College, Casey Varner of Montana State-Northern, Skyler Knuchel of Montana Tech, Coltin Weber of Montana Western and Mark Desin of Rocky Mountain College.

Gavin Hagfors of Great Falls Russell and David Meis of Helena High share the Class AA award. The remaining high school winners are Alex Ritter of Butte Central, Shiloh Kerr of Missoula Loyola, Tyler Molyneaux of Chinook and Matt Trzinski of Savage.

Montana NFF chapter president Bill Sprinkle tells the Great Falls Tribune the winners will be honored at the organization's annual awards banquet on April 16 in Helena.
