Roos Field Is Really Red!

An officials view of red turf (Photo courtesy EWU)

If you haven’t seen the football field at Eastern Washington University get ready for an eye opener. It’s RED! Very Red.The change from a traditionally muddy playing field to artificial turf was made possible by the Michael Roos Foundation. A former Eagle student-athlete, Roos plays in the National Football League. Roos excelled in the classroom as well, graduating with a double major in finance and economics. So take your sunglasses and don’t think they need to adjust the sets when you go to the Griz Viewing Party at Caras Park this Saturday.
