Robbie Knievel Celebrates Sobriety with Plans to Jump a Butte Bar

Evel's boy Robbie has been struggling with substance abuse for some time now, but he is finally sober and ready to continue carrying his family's legacy. Robbie has recently announced that he is planning to jump The Red Zone bar in Butte, as a symbol of his victory over addiction. He is calling it the "Sober Jump" and it will take place during the upcoming Knievel days in Butte late July. The Bar is 28 feet high and 130 feet wide. It should be interesting.

The day and time of Knievel's jump haven't been announced.

Knievel faces a drunk-driving charge for an April 21 arrest in Butte after a four-car collision. He says he hasn't had any alcohol since then. He has a preliminary court hearing Thursday.

Knievel's driver's license is suspended, but Butte-Silver Bow County Undersheriff George Skuletich says the jump is planned for private property, so it poses no violation.
