Ravalli County Treasurer Valerie Stamey is lashing back at critics who blame her for delays in disbursing tax monies to towns and government entities.

At a county commissioners meeting on Tuesday, January 21, Stamey read a prepared statement blasting some of the commissioners and former officials, accusing them of corruption. NBC Montana's Kevin Maki was at the meeting and filed this report on KECI-TV Tuesday night.

Ravalli County Commissioner Suzy Foss, reached Tuesday night at her home, said she was too upset to comment on the day's events, but volunteered to come on KGVO Radio's Talkback program in the near future to discuss the issues currently tearing the county government apart.
