Several friends of mine and I have been known to enjoy a fine sipping whiskey after a Griz win. We are upset and ready to offer our help in solving this crime against good bourbon.

Someone has swiped about 65 cases of 20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle bourbon. Investigators say the missing whiskey is among the rarest and most expensive bourbons produced in Kentucky. Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton says the stolen bourbon is worth about $26,000.

We haven’t contacted Sherriff Melton yet with our offer of assistance, but after a couple of sips we may get around to it.
