Qvale Plays Big!!!

OGDEN, UTAH (1/24/11) - For the third time this season, University of Montana center Brian Qvale has been selected as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week.

            The 6-foot-11 senior from Williston, N.D., led the Grizzlies to victories at Idaho State (75-65) and against Montana State (75-61), averaging 18 points, 14 rebounds, two blocks, two assists and one steal per game. Qvale shot 63.6 percent from the floor and 61.5 percent from the free-throw line.

He is ranked 12^th in the nation and second in the league in field-goal percentage (59.3%), while his 3.2 blocks per contest ranks him ninth in the country. He currently has 216 career blocks.
