You gotta admire some of our proud Folks in Blue for their sense of humor on this one. The victims might not be laughing, though. They want their nuts back!

Associated Press submitted a crime report from Shelby Township, Michigan. A truck and trailer carrying 18 pallets of walnuts and other snack nuts totaling nearly 28,000 pounds and worth $128,000 was stolen. The truck and trailer were recovered, but the nuts and thieves were still at large. So, local police took to social media with a public appeal for information that might lead to an arrest.

Oh, yes, and the mug shot of the suspect: You guessed it. A squirrel.

Get crackin', crime fighters!  DB
