Missoula police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect of a robbery that occurred just before midnight at a Brooks Street convenience store on September 26, 2013.

An image (see photo above) of the suspect entering the store was captured by an in-store security camera just before the robbery took place.

"A clerk, there by himself went into the back for a moment, then came back out and discovered this male behind the counter apparently stealing cigarettes," said Missoula Police Detective Sgt. Travis Welsh. "When confronted the male ran out after swinging an elbow at the clerk and making a comment that he was 'dangerous.'"

The suspect is described as a white male adult; approximately 35 – 40 years of age, six feet tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

He was filmed wearing a black rain jacket, and blue jeans and had facial hair at the time. He was also said to be wearing a black backpack during the robbery.

Anyone with information about this incident, or knowledge of the suspect is asked to call Detective Mark Blood (552-6281) at the Missoula Police Department, or Missoula Crime-Stoppers at 721-4444.
