Poachers Beware

A nice "mulie" buck (Photo courtesy artinfiber/Flickr)

Anyone who hunts honestly hates to see and hear about this sort of thing, deer poaching.  In two separate cases six mule deer have been shot and killed in and around Missoula recently, four were bucks and there were two does.

Although it’s illegal, it’s understandable if someone is trying to put meat on an empty table. In both of these cases being investigated by Fish, Wildlife & Parks  the animals were left. This is just someone out shooting.

The state has an anonymous hotline to report things like this; 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).

As sportsmen it’s up to us to protect our state’s wildlife.
