An animal rights activist wants the state of Georgia to erect a roadside memorial for several chickens killed in a highway wreck.Associated Press reports that a member of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) filed an application for the memorial that, if approved, would be placed at the site where a truck hauling live chickens overturned. The applicant wants to place a 10-foot tombstone memorial for one month on the road site where the accident occurred. By the way, the driver of the chicken truck and people in other vehicles involved were not seriously injured. No, folks, I didn't make this up or have a weird dream. At least I don't think I did. DB
