It hasn't felt much like winter in western Montana the past few days due to lack of snow, but the National Weather Service predicts new snowfall starting Sunday.

A report sent Friday said a series of storms are moving in to the Northern Rockies bringing snow and wind.

NWS advised travelers to look for heavy snow on Lookout, Lolo and Lost Trail passes starting late Saturday into Sunday. Sunday night into Monday "snow levels will lower into the valley by morning commute for western Montana."

The valley floors should only expect two to six inches of snow, according to NWS. However the mountain passes are expecting up to a foot of snow.
