An unidentified male pedestrian was struck and killed this morning by a semi-truck on I-90.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jacob Parks said the accident occurred just after 2:00 am. Friday.

"A commercial motor vehicle was westbound on Interstate 90 between the Van Buren and East Missoula  exits," Parks said. "An unidentified male pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by that commercial motor vehicle. The driver was not injured. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, and the driver was wearing a seat belt."

I-90 was closed for several hours while the accident was cleared. No names have been released, and the Montana Highway Patrol is investigating.
