I know just how this guy feels. When I was playing football in high school a team mate intercepted a pass and took off…the wrong way. The rest of the defense, including me, chased him trying to let him know he was going the wrong way. He finally stopped in the end zone. He was crestfallen when he realized what he had done.

So let’s take a look at what happened when linebacker Andre Parker grabbed a muffed punt in a game between Kent State and Towson.

In the end, it didn't matter. By rule, a muffed punt cannot be returned — or retreated — and the ball was spotted where Parker grabbed it at the Towson 7.
