Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will team up for part of the pre-game package, singing "America the Beautiful
Miranda Lambert really can’t seem to catch a break. After losing her father-in-law (Blake Shelton‘s dad) just a few weeks ago, Lambert was then saddened by the loss of a longtime friend, who was killed in a tragic car accident. Today, the ‘Baggage Claim’ songstress shared with her fans that one of her dogs, Dixie, has also died.
Blake Shelton will be busier than half the football players playing on Super Bowl Sunday. In addition to kicking off the new season of ‘The Voice‘ when the big game finishes, he and wife Miranda Lambert will take the stage to sing their version of ‘America the Beautiful’ before the game begins. Shelton and Lambert have just released the song to iTunes.
Miranda Lambert says she’ll begin filming the video for her new single, ‘Over You,’ this week. The song — about husband Blake Shelton‘s late brother — is already a Top 30 hit on the Billboard charts.
Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green are “coworkers” on ‘The Voice,’ as they both serve as coaches on the reality competition show, which will kick off its second season on Feb. 5. It’s only logical and practical to think that the odd couple would take another step in their professional relationship and work on a song together. Turns out they are doing just that.

Miranda Lambert has rescheduled her performance this coming Friday (Feb. 3) in Tallahassee, Fla. at the Leon County Civic Center in order to attend a funeral for her childhood friend, Mark “Tex” Adams, who passed away last week. The new date for the show has been set for Thursday, May 17.
