94.9 KYSS-FM artist Keith Urban is officially the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry family.

Urban’s induction happened over the weekend (Saturday, April 21) in an emotional ceremony that included special performances by Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, and a surprise video congrats from Brad Paisley, who was unable to make it (in person) to Urban’s special evening.

Grand Ole Opry General Manager Pete Fisher handed the coveted trophy off to Adkins, who then presented it to Urban while speaking those life changing words: “You are now a member of the Grand Ole Opry.”

Urban beamed from inside the famous circle on the stage as he accepted the prize. “Thank you very much … Yee haw!” he told the crowd. “That is awesome!”

Humbled as ever, the ‘For You’ hitmaker said his many thanks to those who made the induction possible, including Fisher, his mom and dad, his wife and daughters, his amazing team of supporters, country radio, and of course, his loving and loyal fans who have helped make him the superstar he is today.
