Okay to Black Friday Shop For Yourself

I do not Black Friday shop for anybody! Me or those on my list. And really, it has nothing to do with the lines, chaos, stress or competitive rudeness of the whole thing. It's just that the day after Thanksgiving happens to be a very busy workday for me, so there's no point in even considering participating. So you're welcome. One less crazy shopper out there for you to worry about! :-) And, according to the research firm NPD Group, about 20 percent of sale shoppers will be buying for themselves. That's up from only 5 percent in the early 2000s. The firm says that people simply feel less guilty about buying the things they want when they're on sale. So enjoy the madness and don't forget to be nice not naughty, and include a little something for yourself. DB
