Let's open with the funniest line in the letter: "Apologies for not writing sooner." Well, not completely her fault the correspondence was a bit slow. A letter a woman wrote to her mom in 1931 just arrived. The letter was just recently found in a Pittsfield, Mass., post office. The clue that it was really old? Had a two cent stamp on it. Both mom and daughter have passed on, but the post office did track down a granddaughter of the mom and it is now in her hands, a family keepsake to be cherished I'm sure. But I would suggest not mailing it to other family members for them to take a look.    DB
