Not Much Montana Skiing Yet

I know a lot of you are getting anxious, just waiting for Mother Nature to do her thing. Wish I had more openings to report, but if you go down the list, about the only ski areas open are Big Sky, with three inches of new snow to bring them to 24" skiing machine groomed/packed powder, and with 10 inches of new snow, Discovery is going to give it a go. Other than that, area favorites like Snowbowl, Lost Trail, Whitefish Mountain and Blacktail are all just waiting for a little more cake frosting, which this weekend could produce in the higher elevations. So keep those bindings crossed for good luck and an eye on the mountains. DB
