An unfortunate yet predictable casualty of Stage II fire restrictions in Missoula is a fireworks show.

Our Missoula Osprey baseball team was planning to put on another low-level fireworks extravaganza after this Saturday night's game (July 29). But the Osprey, in conjunction with the Missoula Fire Department, have announced that due to the severe conditions in the area, the fireworks show has been cancelled. But there is good news regarding upcoming home games, too.

If we win, you win!  If the Osprey win on Saturday night, fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to the next scheduled fireworks night, September 1. Also on Saturday, there will be special promotional events to help support Ronald McDonald House.

Game time is still scheduled for 6:35 Saturday. That is 30 minutes earlier than usual, as is the custom when a fireworks show is originally planned. So hopefully you'll still want to get out and enjoy a warm, wonderful summer evening of baseball.
