59 year-old Andrew Phillip Romo was arrested late Monday night for riding a bicycle without a light, but that was only the beginning of his troubles with the law.

Police spokesman Travis Welsh said Romo couldn’t seem to identify himself.

“The officer stopped the man and attempted to identify him,” Welsh said. “The male provided several different names and different dates of birth, and refused to properly identify himself.”

Welsh said the reason for his reticence became clear when the officer searched his clothing.

“His identity was eventually discovered, and the officers found that has was wanted not just in Missoula, but in Great Falls,” he said. “At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of what appeared to be narcotics, and he’s currently being held in jail on charges associated with that stop, including obstructing a police officer, the outstanding warrants and possession of dangerous drugs.”

Romo appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday and bail was set at $20,000.
