A woman in San Rafael CA accidentally flushed a gold necklace down the toilet several months ago (yes it was an accident, not a cranky spouse as we will see). She figured it was lost forever, but what the heck: Call the sanitation district and let them know about it at least. Well, they remembered the message when they recovered the necklace from the...uh...fertile fruits of their labor a few days back. A worker brought dropped it off at her house! It was a gift from her husband their first Christmas together in 1993. I assume she's wearing it once again. After a real thorough cleansing. DB
