Oh, the guilt! Oh, the shame! It finally caught up to a 70-something hooligan. Actually, it sounds to me like the guy led a pretty clean life and just couldn't live with his conscience anymore. Associated Press sent us this story from Lakeland, Florida. A U.S. Navy veteran sent a letter of apology and a $200 check to the Lakeland Ledger Newspaper, admitting to stealing some newspaper racks...in 1960! Benard Schermerhorn, who now lives in California, says he's followed the rules most of his 73 years, but caved to peer pressure back in his youth. The stolen newspaper racks netted a little change, and they just dumped them. The newspaper sent Mr. Schermerhorn a thank you letter and will donate the money to a children's charity in the Lakeland area.

Well, hey...props all the way around!   DB
